FAU
When I started studying at the FAU, I had many expectations, basically
because I had looked for information when I was in school, I asked my
classmates who were already studying there, etc. Actually, I had in mind, to
get to a place where everything was creativity and, basically, the building,
was going to be almost similar to Hogwarts. (Because, let's be honest, when you
go to study architecture, you think that your construction will be attractive).
Nowadays, I am 9 months studying here, and I have come to know almost
every corner of this faculty, realizing that, to be a building that is ready
for 3 courses, it is very badly organized.
Starting with the bathrooms, which for my taste, is the sector that has
more deficiency. As a woman, I constantly go to the bathroom, sometimes just to
look in the mirror, but it is too unpleasant, to enter and see that all the
doors are on the floor, or see that the floor is dirty (and if it, is because
it is dirty, and if it is dirty is because there is water on the floor) and to
top it off, the unpleasant fact that there is NEVER toilet paper.
Another factor that bothers me, is the fact of having such a small
cafeteria, where the smells are concentrated there and, there are no tables for
everyone. And I do not even want to have a discussion about the prices that the
cafeteria has (which are exaggeratedly high). I already learned that it is
better to have lunch in the FEN, where the menu is much more varied, and much
less expensive than in the FAU.
But, being honest, not everything is horrible in the FAU, I love how it
is decorated, almost all graffiti are representative of this university, I like
how these draws make it less informal than any other architecture faculty, I
feel that makes each person feel
more comfortable. Another thing that I love about the FAU is the
environment it has, and that is basically how it is structured. Although in the
past, it was a stable, nowadays I feel that it works like a study building, and
at the same time it makes it less cold than any other study house.
Although the FAU is not perfect,
I can’t imagine studying anywhere other than here, with its flaws and
everything I feel part of it.
Yeah, I like the graffitis too, it's make FAU a more joyble place
ResponderBorrarThe graffitis and murals are so beautiful in fau, because all of them have a history or important people like fernan meza, he was an important and cool teacher of the fau
ResponderBorrarI agree with you in that even though fau has a lot of flaws and shortcomings, it is still a nice place.
ResponderBorrari think that the essence of the FAU is not the buildings, if not the people in the university and how we can relate with all
ResponderBorrarI agree with you, FAU is not a bad place at all. And Fernán Meza mural it's pure art.
ResponderBorrarI really love the graffitis too
